At Caleb Components, we offer both External Inverted Lug Circlips (M1408/N1408) and Internal Inverted Lug Circlips (M1308/N1308). Available in Carbon Steel.

External Type – The External Inverted Lug Circlip functions the same as an standard External Circlip only the lugs are reversed. The advantage of this type of Circlip is that it gives extra clearance around the outer rim of the Circlip. This can be a great asset particularly if the shaft on which the Circlip sits is rotating and needs to be clear of any hindrances.

Internal Type – Similar to standard Internal Circlips but again lugs are reversed. Thus this type of Circlip is very useful when extra clearance is required as no lugs will be protruding within the bore.

Shim Washers are made to precise dimensions and are used to take up excess space in assembles e.g. Bearing assemblies. As these parts come in a variety of thicknesses usually, 0.1mm, 0.2mm, 0.3mm, 0.5mm and 1.0mm (thicknesses above 1.0mm are generally classed as Support Washers), they offer a wide variety of packing thickness.

Here at Caleb Components we offer both Split Cotter Pins and Retaining Pins (R-Clips) in BZP finish.

A Split Cotter Pin is a simple fastening device. This part is simply pushed through a whole, which is just slightly bigger than outside diameter of the pin. As parts are manufactured in Mild Steel, the legs simply bend around the component to hold it in place.

Retaining Pins (R-Clips) serve a similar function to the Split Cotter Pin, the difference being the Retaining Pin is easy to remove as just one half of the pin locates on the outside diameter of the component.

Split Cotter Pins however, are a little more difficult to remove as the legs have to be bent back to their original position in order to extract the pin from its component.

The job of this fastener is to pushed on to the shaft to give immediate grip and fix and therefore eliminating costly threading and grooving operations.
