Caleb Components offers both D2000 (DIN984) Internal Increased Abutment Circlips & D2100 (DIN983) External Increased Abutment Circlips in Carbon Steel.

Internal DIN984 Circlip – These are radially fitted Circlips for bores with grooves. These Circlips are quite similar in design to the standard DIN472 Internal Circlip, but has additional lugs around the circumference of the Circlip. These extra lugs enable more effective securing of machined parts with chamfers.

External DIN983 Circlip – Again radially fitted Circlips, but are used for shafts with grooves. These are also similar to the standard DIN471 External Circlip, but again has additional lugs around the circumference. The advantage of this type of Circlips is that it helps to maintain good contact with chamfered parts.
